Bespoke History, Scripted News: Say it Ain't So

A warning should be "pinned to the Internet" so that new visitors to the controlled media can understand why it's a no-read -- and if you do scan their sites, to not forget the sunglasses from They Live.

After all, the first steps of critical thinking are as frightening as they are exhilarating. Helping people is like taking them horse riding on a mountain pass. It's bloody nerve wracking and they'll scream all the way - which is why we so rarely do it and often give up.

It does hurt people to encounter information that destroys their world view - and we should acknowledge that. I was reminded of this while listening to Norman Dodd talk about the Reece Committee, in which Congress tried to expose the activities of the Rockefeller and Carnegie family foundations.

One of Dodd's assistants was the Washington lawyer Kathryn Casey. As a legal analyst on the Special Committee to Investigate Tax-Exempt Foundations, she read the minutes of the Carnegie Endowment as a result of which she had a mental breakdown, which Dodd describes here: https://youtu.be/GgL8rqqddAU?t=1961
ED GRIFFIN: How many people actually heard those recordings?
NORMAN DODD: Oh, three maybe. Myself, my top assistant, and Kathryn. I might tell you, this experience, as far as its impact on Kathryn Casey was concerned, was that she never was able to return to her law practice. If it hadn’t been for Carol Reece’s ability to tuck her away into a job in the Federal Trade Commission, I don’t know what would have happened to Kathryn. Ultimately, she lost her mind as a result of it. It was a terrible shock. It’s a very rough experience to encounter proof of these kinds.
What Kathryn Casey read from the minutes is here. Norman Dodd, G. Edward Griffin,  interview date 1982: Reece Cmte., Central Bank Cartel, Foundations: https://youtu.be/GgL8rqqddAU?t=1428 .
Norman Dodd paraphrases the minutes of the Carnegie Endowment that so disturbed Kathryn Casey.

"Is there any means known more effective than war assuming you wish to alter the life of an entire nation?", the board members of the Carnegie Endowment ask each other in 1908. They conclude, "no more effective means other than war is known to humanity"... "How do we involve the United States in a war?", they asked in 1909. "We must control the State Department. We must take over and control the diplomatic machinery of this country."

When WWI has begun, the Carnegie Endowment minutes note they send a telegram to President Wilson beseeching him to see that the war does not end too quickly.

Once the war is over their interest shifts to preventing life returning to normal, pre-war life as it had been for Americans prior to 1919. "To prevent a reversion we must control education in the United States". They approach the much larger Rockefeller Foundation with the suggestion that domestic education be handled by the Rockefeller Foundation and international education be handled by the Carnegie Endowment.

Altering the teaching of American History is essential to the task so they approach four of the leading American historian who turn them down flat. The endowment concludes "We must build our own stable of historians." They approach the Guggenheim Foundation and the minutes show that they ask, "When we find young men in the process of studying for doctorates in the field of American history and we feel they are the right caliber will you grant them fellowships on our say so." The answer is yes and they assemble 20 potential authors of history, take them to London and tell them what is expected of them once they secure appointments. That group of 20 historians becomes the nucleus of the American Historical Association.

In the late 1920s the Carnegie Endowment grants the AHA $400,000 for a study of U.S. history "in a manner which points to what this country can look forward to in the future". That becomes a seven-volume study, the last of which states: "the future of this country belongs to collectivism administered with characteristic American efficiency".

This scripting of history was mirrored after WW2 when British intelligence gave the job of writing the authorized version of What Really Happened to the unknown Hugh Trevor Roper. Ignoring the ranks of established, credentialed British historians who would have jumped at the chance, the military instead took young Hugh and fed him a filtered set of documents, provided him with people to interview and, no doubt, sat him down and with military intelligence who "put him straight".

Today's journalists are fed information and rewarded with positions by the same group of organizations that Kathryn Casey uncovered in the 1950s. As a shorthand you can call that group Wall Street. Of course they are more than that and calling them simply bankers is inadequate. However the Central Intelligence Agency was set up by Wall St bankers and lawyers as their muscle so it's a perfectly accurate shorthand.

The State Department is only one of the government departments that is controlled through the CIA, as described by Peter Dale Scott. The ATF and DEA are others, as described by Douglas Valentine. The Foundations - Ford, Rockefeller, Carnegie - do not disguise their interest in influencing education and controlling preferments, appointments and fellowships.

A similar network operates in the media, beginning with the outright ownership of the news "wholesalers", the news agencies such as Bloomberg and Reuters. The intelligence agencies then operate directly in news organizations such as CNN and the BBC. Pentagon and CIA advisers have been found working alongside journalists in CNN, which is hardly surprising since the bosses of those advisers become salaried commentators on CNN, such as John Brennan and James Clapper.

But tell someone that, from the history books to the news media, they are told a controlled version of history, paid for and scripted by foundations acting as fronts for the billionaire elite -- and that might be more than they can bear.
